Sivaji Gives Grand Comeback in Court, Says Mangapathi Fulfills His 25-Year Dream

Actor Sivaji has made a powerful return to Telugu cinema with ‘Court – State vs A Nobody’. After almost a decade away from the big screen, he is thrilled with the overwhelming response to his role as Mangapathi. The film, presented by Nani’s Wall Poster Cinema, is directed by Ram Jagadeesh and has received immense praise.

A Role Sivaji Waited 25 Years For

Sivaji, once a leading actor, had been away from films for nearly 12 years. He revealed that playing Mangapathi had been his dream for the last 25 years. He credited his family, especially his wife and children, for encouraging him to return to acting. “They always asked me to act again, but I hesitated to ask anyone for a role,” Sivaji said. He also thanked ETV Bapineedu for motivating him to take up acting again.

After listening to nearly 80 scripts, Sivaji finally chose Court. Most of the roles offered to him were father characters, which he rejected. But Mangapathi was different, it was the perfect role he had been waiting for.

Director Ram Jagadeesh’s Vision

Sivaji shared that director Ram Jagadeesh decided to cast him after watching him on Bigg Boss every night. The director believed Sivaji was the perfect fit for Mangapati, a character inspired by real-life events. “The credit goes to Ram Jagadeesh. He designed the character brilliantly and sculpted each role in the movie with great detail,” Sivaji said.

A Role That Resonated with Audiences

Sivaji’s performance as Mangapathi has been widely appreciated. Some even compared his acting to Bobby Deol’s role in Animal. “That compliment made me really happy,” he said. The character’s raw emotion and protective nature struck a chord with viewers.

Future Projects

After Court, Sivaji is set to appear in a film with Laya, his former co-star. He is also working on Dandora and a sequel to 90’s Middle Class. Additionally, he hinted at an upcoming role as Medical Shop Murthy, which will be officially announced soon.

No Regrets About His Time Away

Sivaji clarified that he has no regrets about staying away from films for so long. “I stood up for the people and fought for important causes. That was my priority,” he said. However, he is now fully open to playing strong and impactful roles, just like the legendary SV Ranga Rao, Gummadi, Jaggaiah, and Rajanala.

With Court becoming a blockbuster, Sivaji’s comeback has been nothing short of spectacular. His long-cherished dream has finally come true, and fans can expect to see more of him in the coming years.
