The South India Digital Publishers Association (SIDPA) has issued a strong statement condemning the abusive and unprofessional comments made by Telugu film producer Razesh Danda toward a digital media outlet covering his latest film.
In its official statement, SIDPA emphasized that professional disagreements must be voiced with respect and decorum, stating that “having a public platform or influence does not give anyone the right to insult, threaten, or demean others.” The association described Danda’s remarks as “completely unacceptable” and contrary to the values of professionalism and civil conduct.
SIDPA also reminded that issuing public threats or using abusive language especially those implying violence or harm constitutes a criminal offense under the law.
Reaffirming its commitment to safeguarding press freedom, the association declared that it “will not tolerate any form of intimidation, abuse, or threat directed toward journalists or media organizations.”
SIDPA concluded its statement by stressing that accountability must be ensured for those attempting to undermine the integrity and independence of the media, reinforcing that respect and professionalism are non-negotiable in all industry interactions.
