Investigation officials stated that Ravi had a criminal mindset from a young age and used fake identity cards belonging to his friends to commit various illegal activities.

Abuse Towards Wife and Children Led to Divorce

During the investigation, police questioned Ravi’s wife, and the details she shared were shocking. She revealed that Ravi had a violent and abusive nature, regularly torturing her and their children. Unable to tolerate his behavior any longer, she filed for divorce.

₹50,000 Monthly Payment to Nikhil

Police revealed that Ravi used to pay ₹50,000 every month to Nikhil, who handled brand promotions for the iBomma website. Ravi admitted that he also paid Nikhil for designing posters and other promotional content.

Huge Earnings Through Website Bugs

Officials found that Ravi had created special “bugs” on the iBomma website to artificially increase view counts.
By generating fake traffic, he was able to earn around $50 for every one lakh views. Investigators believe he was making income in lakhs every month through this fraudulent practice.

Using Friends’ ID Cards to Hide Activities

The investigation also discovered that Ravi used identity cards, bank accounts, and SIM cards belonging to his friends in order to avoid being detected. Because many transactions and accounts are in other people’s names, the verification process is taking time.

Investigation Widens

Police are now exploring the wider network involved in the iBomma betting racket. They suspect that more individuals across different parts of the country are linked to the case. More arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
