Shivaji Expresses Surprise at iBomma Ravi’s Skills, Encourages Positive Contribution to the Country

Actor Shivaji’s recent comments have gone viral on social media. His remarks came in the wake of the arrest of iBomma Ravi, the key person behind the piracy website iBomma. It is known that the police recently arrested Ravi and subsequently shut down both the iBomma and Bappam TV websites. Many Tollywood celebrities have already reacted to the issue, and now Shivaji has shared his views, which are grabbing attention online.

Shivaji is currently working on the film Dhandoraa, which is set to release on the 25th of next month. At the recent teaser launch event, Shivaji spoke about the film and then turned to the topic of iBomma Ravi. Without directly naming him, he made several pointed comments.

Shivaji revealed that he was surprised by Ravi’s technical skills.
“Finally, he was caught… he had the grit, but I hope he uses it for something good,” said Shivaji. “I heard he is a very skilled hacker. If he transforms into someone who can serve the nation, it would be great. He proved that talent belongs to no one in particular.”

He continued, “What he did was undoubtedly wrong. But I was shocked after hearing about his talent. I feel he could be useful to the country maybe even be employed in some security system. It was the confusion of youth, lack of money… all of that pushed him into making decisions that caused trouble for many.”

Shivaji added, “He probably thought he was helping many people. But we have a Constitution, and everyone must live within its boundaries. He stepped outside that and did what he did. I hope he changes hereafter. The theatre experience cannot be matched anywhere else. Nowhere in the world are movies this affordable.”

He explained further, “If we like a three-hour film, we remember it for life. Classics like NTR’s Missamma and Pathala Bhairavi are still cherished. We spend ₹200 to watch a movie, but that film stays with us forever. So please watch films only in theatres. Many people work extremely hard for each movie. That’s why piracy should not be encouraged,” Shivaji urged.
