Producer Shirish Reddy directly addressed Ram Charan fans after facing heavy criticism for his recent interview about the film Game Changer, which stars Ram Charan and is directed by Shankar. His comments sparked massive outrage among Mega fans, who believed he spoke negatively about Ram Charan and the film’s team.

Shirish Reddy Clarifies His Comments on Ram Charan and Game Changer

Shirish Reddy used social media to explain his side of the story. In his post, he said fans misunderstood his comments and emphasized that he never meant to offend Ram Charan, Megastar Chiranjeevi, or their fan base. “People took my interview words out of context on social media,” he wrote. “Ram Charan gave full support to our film Game Changer. We share a long-standing bond with Chiranjeevi Garu’s family. If I hurt anyone unintentionally, I sincerely apologize.”

Fans reacted strongly after Shirish said that neither Ram Charan nor director Shankar contacted him after the film’s release. Many saw this as a complaint. But Shirish explained that he only expressed the emotional and financial stress he felt after the film’s performance. He clarified that he never targeted anyone personally.

Dil Raju Backs Shirish During the Controversy

Producer Dil Raju, Shirish’s brother, stepped up to defend him. He said Shirish spoke to the media for the first time and became emotional while discussing the film’s challenges. “He didn’t intend to hurt anyone,” Dil Raju said. “In fact, Ram Charan supported Game Changer during tough times and even delayed other films for us.”

Dil Raju further stated that their production house, Sri Venkateswara Creations, continues to maintain a strong relationship with Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi Garu. He also confirmed that they are already working on a new project with Ram Charan.

Game Changer’s Box Office Performance

Game Changer presented Ram Charan in dual roles—as an honest IAS officer and his father—in a political action drama. Although the film featured a solid cast and a gripping storyline, it failed to perform well at the box office. The setback caused financial stress for the producers. Shirish expressed his disappointment openly but made it clear he held no grudge against Ram Charan or Shankar.

Ram Charan Looks Ahead with Upcoming Films

Ram Charan has now shifted focus to his next film, Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana. The sports action drama, starring Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead, is scheduled to release on March 27, 2026. He will also reunite with director Sukumar for RC17, following their blockbuster success with Rangasthalam.
