Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan finally won his first-ever National Film Award for Best Actor at the 71st National Film Awards, and his emotional reaction instantly lit up the internet. The jury recognized him for his powerful performance in the blockbuster action film Jawan, directed by Atlee. He shares the award with Vikrant Massey, who delivered a stellar performance in 12th Fail.

While fans already celebrated his win, Shah Rukh’s video message added more excitement, especially when he appeared with his arm in a cast yet still managed to strike his iconic one-arm pose.

Just hours after the announcement, Shah Rukh shared a video on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter). He wore a black outfit with a grey beanie, and his right arm carried a visible bandage. In his heartfelt message, he thanked the National Awards jury, the Information & Broadcasting Ministry, his family, his fans, and the entire Jawan team.

Using his usual charm, he said, “Overwhelmed with the love showered upon me. Half a hug to everyone today.” He also praised director Atlee with his popular phrase, “Like you always say… Mass!” before he did his signature pose with one arm.

SRK Injured While Filming Upcoming Movie

While filming for his next project King, Shah Rukh injured his shoulder during an intense action scene at a Mumbai studio. Though he hasn’t disclosed exact details, sources confirm he suffered a muscular injury that isn’t too serious. Despite that, Shah Rukh traveled to the U.S. for treatment and doctors advised him to rest for a month.

Due to the injury, the King team postponed the July and August shoot schedule. The film, directed by Siddharth Anand, will also mark SRK’s first on-screen collaboration with his daughter, Suhana Khan.

SRK Promises Return to Theatres Soon

In his message, SRK added, “I would love to spread my arms and share my love, but I am a bit indisposed. Just keep the popcorn ready. I’ll be back on screen very soon.” Despite the injury, he delivered his message with full energy, warmth, and humor, reminding fans why they love him so much.
