Karthi’s much-awaited spy action thriller Sardar 2, which arrived in theatres with considerable expectations, did not make the desired impact at the box office. The film received a mixed response from audiences and concluded its theatrical run on a disappointing note.
Now, Sardar 2 has made its OTT debut on Amazon Prime Video, just three weeks after its theatrical release. The film is streaming in multiple languages, including Telugu, giving it a fresh opportunity to connect with a wider audience. With its quick digital release, the Karthi-starrer could find a stronger reception among viewers on streaming platforms.
Directed by PS Mithran, Sardar 2 features Karthi in dual roles and also stars SJ Suryah, Malavika Mohanan, Ashika Ranganath and Rajisha Vijayan in key roles.
The film is produced by S Lakshman Kumar and Ishan Saksena under the banners of Prince Pictures and IVY Entertainment. Sam CS has composed the music for the spy action thriller.
