Acclaimed Kannada Filmmaker who directed Sapta Sagaralu Dhaati, the Telugu dubbed version of Kannada Original two-part Feature Sapta Sagaradaache Ello.
Director Hemanth Rao has taken social media to criticise IIFA for making him wait till 3 AM without any award.
The IIFA experience was such a massive inconvenience and extremely disrespectful. I’ve been in this business for over a decade and this wasnt my first stint at award shows. It’s always been a case where the winners are flown in and hosted for the event. For context, I sat till 3 AM in the morning only to realise there was no award. The same happened to my music director, Charan Raj,” wrote Hemanth Rao on Social Media.
The 2024 IIFA awards were held in Abu Dubai to award the best works from across the film industries of Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam.
Sapta Sagaradaache Ello has won a total of 6 awards at IIFA including the Best Actor for Rakshit Shetty and Best Actress for Rukmini.
