Salman Khan Urges NEET Protesters to Return Home, Tells Sonam Wangchuk ‘It’s Done Bro’

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has made a fresh appeal asking demonstrators to end their agitation and return home. The actor said he believes Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take strict action against those responsible for the examination controversy.

Sharing a message on social media, Salman stressed that students should now focus on their education and safety. He assured them that the government had acknowledged the issue and expressed confidence that those involved in the alleged paper leak would face consequences.

“The students are at top priority, educationally and security-wise… The Honorable Prime Minister has tweeted, and I am sure he will take strict action against all those responsible for this leak. So students, please go back to your parents and homes,” Salman wrote.

‘Sonam Wangchuk, It’s Done Bro’: Salman’s Emotional Message

Salman Khan also addressed social activist Sonam Wangchuk, who has been observing a hunger strike in solidarity with the protesting students.

In a heartfelt message, the actor urged Wangchuk to end his fast, writing:

“Sonam, it’s done bro. Don’t extend this. Eat something. If you want, I will send you food from home.”

The message quickly grabbed attention on social media, with many praising Salman for attempting to calm the situation while encouraging dialogue.

From Supporting the Protest to Calling for Peace

Just 24 hours earlier, Salman had described the alleged NEET paper leak as a “very serious issue” and praised students for conducting a peaceful protest demanding a fair education system.

He appreciated the commitment shown by students and their families, saying the younger generation’s dedication to education would make India proud. However, he also cautioned against turning the movement into a political battle.

According to Salman, the issue should remain focused on educational reforms, and the credit for raising awareness should belong entirely to the students.

He further expressed hope that the government would work with students to strengthen India’s education system, adding that education should become the country’s biggest trend and eventually make India a global education hub.

Why Are Students Protesting?

The protests, led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), have continued for over a month over allegations of large-scale irregularities in the NEET examination, including the alleged paper leak.

Students are demanding accountability from the authorities and seeking action against those responsible. The movement intensified during the recent “Chalo Sansad” march in New Delhi, where clashes reportedly broke out between protesters and Delhi Police.

Meanwhile, Sonam Wangchuk joined the agitation earlier this month and launched a hunger strike in support of the students.

Several Bollywood Celebrities Extend Support

Apart from Salman Khan, several Bollywood celebrities have voiced support for the protesting students. Kareena Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Sara Ali Khan, Ananya Panday, Twinkle Khanna, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Imran Khan and Naseeruddin Shah have all expressed solidarity with the students. Actors Shabana Azmi and Prakash Raj also participated in the CJP’s “Chalo Sansad” march at Jantar Mantar, backing the demand for transparency and reforms in the examination system.
