Kannada superstar Rishab Shetty, who created waves across India with Kantara, has joined hands with Sithara Entertainments for a new pan-India historical action film. The producers announced this massive collaboration on Wednesday, instantly grabbing attention across Telugu and Kannada cinema industries. The film marks Sithara’s 36th production venture.

Historical Action Drama Set in 18th Century Bengal

The story unfolds in Bengal province during 18th century India, capturing the rise of rebellion in a time filled with unrest. The film presents the journey of a rebel chosen by destiny, promising high-voltage drama, gripping action, and strong emotions. The production house released a powerful line to set the tone: “Not all Rebels are forged in Battle. Some are chosen by Destiny.”

Ashwin Gangaraju Brings the Vision to Life

Director Ashwin Gangaraju takes charge of this ambitious project. He earlier directed Aakashvani (2021) and worked closely with SS Rajamouli on blockbusters like Baahubali and Eega. With his skill in visual storytelling and historical fiction, Ashwin aims to deliver a visually grand and emotionally rich cinematic experience.

Multilingual Release to Target a Wider Audience

The team will shoot the film simultaneously in Telugu and Kannada, ensuring authenticity in both languages. They also plan to release dubbed versions in Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam, giving the film a true pan-India reach. This strategy reflects Rishab Shetty’s growing popularity across regional markets.

Sithara and Fortune Four Join Forces to Produce

Producers Suryadevara Naga Vamsi (Sithara Entertainments) and Sai Soujanya (Fortune Four Cinemas) are backing the film with solid support. Srikara Studios will present the movie. The team will soon reveal more updates about the cast and crew.

Ashwin Gangaraju previously planned a film with a similar concept in 2022 under a different banner. Now, he brings the same vision to life on a grander scale, powered by experienced producers and a star like Rishab Shetty.

Apart from this project, Rishab Shetty recently wrapped up Kantara: Chapter 1, which hits theatres on October 2. He is also reportedly working with director Prasanth Varma on a new Telugu film titled Jai Hanuman.
