Director Ram Gopal Varma said – 80 percent of all the films I direct are inspired by an incident. The events that happened ten years ago when the late CM YSR passed away inspired me to make this film. When a big event happens suddenly, some take the occasion as an advantage, while for others it becomes a dis-advantage. As a director I found all these topics interesting. This story contains important events from the death of YS till today. But it is not something that everyone knows. All the things that happened inside are shown in this movie. When a big decision is made, a lot of thought goes into it. They are not known. I have collected information from those who were involved in all these incidents. Based on that information, I made a strategy film in a cinematic format that would appeal to the audience. Said.

Producer Dasari Kiran Kumar said – Ever since we made the movie Vangaveeti, we wanted to make a great movie. In our research, we have not seen a person who came from a chief minister’s family and worked hard for 9 years in India. No chief minister’s son has faced all the hardships. Coming from the family of a great man like YSR, YS Jagan faced difficulties and hardships. We find no story more interesting than his life. There are many great incidents and things that people don’t know about the movie Tathagata. We started a strategy thinking that it would be good to show all of them in the form of a film in an attractive way to the people. Any work is good if it is done on time. We think this is the right time for strategy. This is not Jagan’s biopic. A biopic should show the things that happened since his birth.
