According to insider reports, NTR Neel brings together Jr NTR and director Prashanth Neel for a gripping period-action drama. Sources say the plot unfolds in 1960s Bengal, a time filled with social and political turmoil. The storyline reportedly involves areas near the India-China-Bhutan borders and the Golden Triangle region. The team has already filmed key scenes in Calcutta (now Kolkata) and recreated the era using vintage Ambassador cars, bicycles, and period-specific props.

The crew has constructed massive vintage sets at Ramoji Film City, showing the director’s focus on authentic details. The Bengal unrest during the 1960s drives the film’s emotional intensity and helps build a gritty, dramatic narrative.
