Andhra Pradesh is witnessing a major revival in industrial confidence under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. After a phase of uncertainty during the previous Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy administration when several national and international companies withdrew their investment plans corporate faith in the state’s growth story appears to be returning.

In a significant development, leading renewable energy giant ReNew has announced its decision to make a massive ₹82,000 crore investment in Andhra Pradesh. The company, which had backed out of the state in 2019, is now set to re-enter with renewed confidence in the current government’s policies and vision.

Highlighting this milestone, IT and Industries Minister Nara Lokesh shared the news on social media. “After five years out of AP, it is my proud privilege to announce that ReNew is placing an all-in investment across the entire renewable energy value chain in Andhra Pradesh,” Lokesh stated.

The proposed investment will span cutting-edge sectors including solar ingot and wafer manufacturing, project development, and the production of green hydrogen and molecules marking a holistic expansion across the renewable energy ecosystem.

Reports suggest that the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the state government and ReNew is expected to be formally signed during the Vizag Global Investors Summit, scheduled to take place later this week.

This landmark investment reaffirms Andhra Pradesh’s growing appeal as a hub for clean energy and innovation, signaling a strong comeback for the state’s industrial and investment landscape.
