Royal Challengers Bengaluru continue to script history. After the men’s team lifted their maiden trophy last year, it was now the turn of the women’s side to shine once again on the big stage by winning the Women’s Premier League (WPL) title.

RCB Women defeated Delhi Capitals in a thrilling final last night to secure their second WPL championship. With this victory, RCB add to their earlier title win in 2024, underlining their growing dominance in women’s cricket.

Batting first, Delhi Capitals produced a superb performance and posted a formidable total of 204 runs. Given the size of the target and the nature of the pitch, RCB appeared to be under serious pressure at one stage of the chase.

However, the Bengaluru side responded with remarkable composure and intent. Led by an outstanding knock from Smriti Mandhana, who scored a brilliant 87, RCB paced the chase perfectly. The team eventually overhauled the target with two balls to spare and six wickets in hand, sealing a memorable victory.

With this triumph, Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women become only the second team to win the WPL title twice, matching the achievement of Mumbai Indians, who previously lifted the trophy in 2023 and 2025.

RCB’s rise in women’s cricket continues, and this latest title win further cements their place among the elite teams in the league.
