The much-anticipated film Rao Bahadur has unveiled its first look, and the teaser feels nothing like a conventional promo. Venkatesh Maha, who earlier directed C/o Kancharapalem and Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya, brings a gripping mix of psychological drama, mystery, and dark humor.

Superstar Mahesh Babu presents the project under his banner GMB Entertainment, along with A+S Movies, SriChakraas Entertainments, and Mahayana Motion Pictures. The makers plan a grand Summer 2026 release.

Ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli released the “Not A Teaser” video on X and praised Satya Dev’s bold transformation. He wrote, “Happy to see Satya Dev evolving and portraying larger-than-life characters. My best wishes to him and Maha for Rao Bahadur.” The video avoids direct plot reveals but throws viewers into a surreal world that sparks curiosity and builds intrigue.

Satya Dev’s Role in Rao Bahadur

Satya Dev steps into the role of an ageing aristocrat who clings to a fading past. He lives inside a vast ancestral palace with his loyal servants and a detached son. The teaser shows two timelines that twist together, but it hides how they connect. His eccentric lifestyle forces the police to investigate the strange happenings inside the mansion. The glimpses suggest he fights not ghosts but his own doubts and fractured memories, as his mind bends the line between sanity and madness.

Venkatesh Maha’s Distinct Vision

Venkatesh Maha crafts Rao Bahadur with his signature emotional depth and creative risk-taking. He reunites with Satya Dev after Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya and creates another challenging role for the actor. Satya Dev’s old-age makeover already surprised fans and grabbed attention for its authenticity.
