Rangasthalam 2 in the Works: Sukumar and Ram Charan May Reunite

Director Sukumar, fresh from the massive success of Pushpa 2: The Rule, now turns his attention to his next big project. After working non-stop for years, he chose to take a short break to relax with his family before diving into new ideas. However, sources reveal that he already locked the concept for Rangasthalam 2, a follow-up to the 2018 blockbuster starring Ram Charan.

Insider reports say Sukumar is developing the script right now. He plans to head to Dubai with his team to finish the writing work. Once he completes the first draft, he will narrate it to Ram Charan. They expect to hold this important discussion after Dasara this year. The project remains in its early stages, but the buzz grows stronger every day.

Why Rangasthalam 2 Creates Massive Buzz

Sukumar released Rangasthalam in 2018 and earned recognition for delivering one of the finest Telugu films of the decade. He set the film in a fictional 1980s village and told the gripping story of Chittibabu (Ram Charan) and Kumar Babu (Aadhi Pinisetty) as they fought against corrupt village politics led by Phanindra Bhupathi (Jagapathi Babu). Viewers praised Sukumar’s tight storytelling and Ram Charan’s powerhouse performance.

Sukumar made Rangasthalam with a budget of Rs 50 crore and drove it to an impressive Rs 216 crore worldwide, making it one of the highest-grossing Telugu films. The Road Ahead for Sukumar and Ram Charan

Before starting Rangasthalam 2, Ram Charan focuses on RC16, which Buchi Babu Sana, Sukumar’s student, directs. Once Ram Charan completes that project, Guru and Sishya will reunite for another cinematic treat.
