Ram Pothineni has to be one of the unluckiest star actors in the country. In Telugu, he is literally the most unlucky.
With a career spanning nearly two decades, he remains one of the industry’s most youthful-looking actors. Known for his impressive dance moves, he has worked diligently in recent years to carve out his own unique identity, having faced comparisons to Pawan Kalyan earlier in his career.
Unfortunately for him, despite his best efforts, Ram continues to be failed by filmmakers. Left with little hope from Tollywood directors, a few years ago, he collaborated with a Tamil director for ‘The Warriorr’, which turned out to be his career’s worst film. ‘Skanda’ with Boyapati Sreenu was disappointing last year.
And now, ‘Double ISmart’ has failed him. Credit goes to Puri Jagannadh for helping him make a hat-trick of flops after ‘The Warriorr’ and ‘Skanda’.
Wait, there is more! Ram’s next film is going to be with, take a deep breath, ‘Mr. Bachchan’ luminary Harish Shankar. Just pray that, some day, Ram’s dream director Trivikram redeems him.
