Tollywood star Ram Charan, who became a nationwide sensation with RRR, is currently in Mysuru shooting for his much-awaited rural drama Peddi. The movie’s schedule is moving at full pace, and the team recently filmed a massive song sequence featuring hundreds of dancers and grand village-themed sets.
On Sunday afternoon, Ram Charan took a short break from the shoot and met Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah at his residence in Mysuru. Their meeting created huge excitement among fans and political circles alike.
A Special Meeting in Mysuru
Ram Charan and Siddaramaiah shared a warm conversation during the visit. The Chief Minister felicitated the actor, and Charan returned the gesture with equal respect. Both personalities exchanged pleasantries and spent some quality time together.
Photos from the meeting surfaced online within minutes. Siddaramaiah himself posted the pictures on X (formerly Twitter) with a note that read: “Telugu actor Ram Charan, who is participating in the shooting of ‘Peddi’ movie, met me today in Mysore and had a conversation for a while.” Fans across Karnataka and the Telugu states widely shared the images.
Siddaramaiah’s supporters and Ram Charan’s fans filled the area outside the residence to witness the occasion. Many cheered loudly when the superstar greeted them warmly.
Ram Charan’s Peddi and His Striking New Look
Ram Charan continues to surprise fans with his transformation for Peddi. He sports a rugged beard, tied man bun, and toned physique. Last month, he teased fans with a photo and wrote: “Changeover for @peddimovie begins!! Pure grit. True joy.”
Earlier this year, the makers dropped a short teaser titled Peddi First Shot. The video showed Charan in a raw avatar as he walked through a dusty field and lit a beedi. He then declared powerfully: “I have only one life to live, and I want to make the most of it.” The teaser raised expectations for the film’s intense rural drama.
About the Film
Peddi features a strong cast with Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead, Shiva Rajkumar in a significant role, along with Jagapathi Babu and Divyenndu. Director Buchi Babu Sana is shaping the story with a rustic backdrop and high emotional intensity.
The team locked March 27, 2026, as the release date. Fans across India now eagerly await this pan-India project, which stands as one of the biggest films in Ram Charan’s career.
