Global star Priyanka Chopra arrived in Hyderabad with her daughter Malti Marie, instantly sparking buzz across film circles and social media. Her presence in the city has added fresh excitement around SSMB29, the much-awaited Telugu action-adventure film starring Mahesh Babu and directed by SS Rajamouli.

SSMB29 Filming Buzz Grows with Priyanka’s Arrival

On Monday morning, Priyanka landed in Hyderabad and shared adorable photos of herself and her daughter on Instagram Stories. One photo shows her holding Malti’s hand in the backseat of a car. Another captures little Malti, dressed in a pink tutu, curiously looking out the car window at the greenery. Priyanka captioned the images with “Mama and Malti” and “Hyderabad we made it!”, confirming their arrival and melting fans’ hearts.

Although Priyanka didn’t directly announce her reason for the visit, multiple reports indicate that she came to Hyderabad to start the next shooting schedule of SSMB29. She is acting for the first time in a Telugu film with Mahesh Babu, which marks a significant milestone in her career and adds weight to the project.

What to Expect from SSMB29?

Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu are teaming up for a grand cinematic experience through SSMB29, an action-adventure inspired by the spirit of Indiana Jones. Priyanka and Mahesh headline the film along with Prithviraj Sukumaran in a key role. Vijayendra Prasad, Rajamouli’s father and the celebrated writer of Baahubali and RRR, crafted the story. The makers plan to release the film in 2027.

Originally, the team selected Kenya as a shooting location, but they shifted to Tanzania or South Africa because of civil unrest. Rajamouli has prepared a large-scale action scene involving nearly 100 stuntmen. Reports suggest that Mahesh Babu will perform most of his own stunts, taking on his most physically demanding role yet.

Reports also claim that she might feature in a special song in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming Bollywood film Love & War, which stars Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal, though no official confirmation has come yet.
