Fans of Premalu can finally breathe easy. Director Girish AD has officially confirmed that he is moving forward with Premalu 2 and will resume production soon. After rumors of delays and doubts about the sequel’s future, the director revealed that he will begin filming the second part right after he completes his next film, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit.

Premalu 2 Is Not Cancelled: Girish AD Clears the Air

Recent talk claimed that the team had put Premalu 2 on hold. Co-producer Dileesh Pothan admitted they temporarily paused the project. Reports even suggested that lead actor Naslen felt unhappy with the way the script was shaping up. But Girish AD has now stepped in to clear all confusion. He confirmed that the team is still making Premalu 2 and will move forward with it once he wraps up his current project.

Bethlehem Kudumba Unit: The Film Before Premalu 2

Before returning to the Premalu universe, Girish AD is focusing on completing Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, a romantic drama starring Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju. Bhavana Studios, which also produced Premalu, is backing this film too. The team will start filming soon and plans to complete it before they begin work on Premalu 2.

Mamitha Baiju’s Rising Career After Premalu

Mamitha Baiju, who played Reenu Roy in Premalu, has quickly become one of the most promising new faces in Indian cinema. After the film’s success, she signed several major projects across languages. These include a film with Suriya directed by Venky Atluri, another with Thalapathy Vijay titled Jana Nayagan, and roles in upcoming films by directors Ram Kumar and Pradeep Ranganathan. She will also reprise her role as the female lead in Premalu 2, which makes the sequel even more exciting for fans.
