Actress Pragathi, who has carved a special place for herself in the Telugu film industry, needs no introduction. Once widely recognized for her impactful roles as a mother, aunt, sister, and more, she won the audience’s love through her versatility. After the pandemic began, Pragathi became even more active on social media, gaining popularity with her fun reels and energetic “Teenmaar” dance videos in public.

However, beyond the entertainment, Pragathi transformed her life with fitness. What started as regular gym workouts during the COVID period soon became a personal challenge for her. Today, she has stunned everyone by winning medals at Asian-level competitions. Despite being close to 50, she has participated in national and international powerlifting events and even clinched medals, leaving everyone impressed with her dedication.

Recently, at the Asian Open & Masters Powerlifting Championship 2025 in Turkey, Pragathi bagged four medals, earning widespread recognition on social media. Celebrities, fans, and netizens have been praising her for this rare and inspiring achievement.

But success didn’t come without negativity. In the past, some trolls targeted her gym photos, making unpleasant comments. Pragathi has now responded to those trolls with a powerful counter.

Speaking at the Three Roses Season 2 Pre-Release Event, where the team also honored her for her remarkable achievements, Pragathi opened up about the trolling she faced.

She said:

“When I started this journey, people questioned me ‘Do you need all this at this age?’ They said I should wear traditional clothes to the gym. But you can’t work out in sarees and churidars, right? Initially, even I wondered if I was doing something wrong because so many negative comments were coming in. They were abusing me so harshly that I began doubting myself.”

Pragathi also shared how the trolling affected her daughter:

“I have a grown-up daughter who goes to college. Her friends are on social media too. It hurt me deeply to think about what she might feel seeing such comments.”

Determined not to let the trolls define her, Pragathi said she decided to answer them through her achievements:

“These medals I’ve won are my strongest counter to all the trolls. I hope they stop at least now.”

She dedicated her medals to every woman in the film industry, inspiring them to pursue their dreams regardless of age or criticism.

Fans are applauding her powerful journey and appreciate how she silenced negativity through sheer hard work and success. Many say that Pragathi’s dedication and her gesture of dedicating the medals to industry women is truly commendable.
