Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan has once again shown his unmatched star power. His much-awaited period action drama, Hari Hara Veera Mallu (HHVM), released worldwide on July 24 and drew massive attention right from its premiere shows. But what truly shocked trade circles was the film’s record-breaking opening in the Nizam region with just one premiere show.
HHVM Breaks Records in Nizam with Just 1 Premiere Show
Distributor Ravi Shankar from Mythri Movie Makers, who owns the theatrical rights for Nizam, shared a remarkable update at the film’s success meet held in Hyderabad. While addressing the media, he announced that HHVM collected a whopping Rs 3.36 crore share in Nizam alone from just the premiere shows on Wednesday night, a record for any film with only a single premiere show in that region.
Ravi Shankar, who personally watched the premiere at Vimal Theatre in Hyderabad, described the crowd’s response as electric. “Even with a one-hour delay, fans stayed excited. They waited patiently, and the turnout amazed us,” he said. He expressed his surprise at the strong collections from just one show, calling them completely unexpected.
HHVM Maintains Strong Day 1; Weekend Looks Bigger
The strong momentum continued on Thursday as large crowds rushed to theatres across the region. Even though rain slightly slowed down afternoon shows, evening screenings picked up quickly with full attendance. Ravi Shankar confirmed that theatres in Andhra regions also witnessed packed shows. He confidently stated that they expect HHVM to set a new Day 1 record in the Nizam region.
Trade experts pegged HHVM’s global Day 1 gross at Rs 66 crore, showing just how big the demand is for this film.
Power Star’s Massive Pull Dominates Theatres
Pawan Kalyan’s presence once again pulled massive footfalls. Fans crowded theatres in huge numbers for the premiere. Delays didn’t reduce their excitement one bit. Producers Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar praised the overwhelming response and confirmed that the film surpassed their expectations in the Nizam area, which remains Pawan’s biggest support base.
With such a grand opening, Hari Hara Veera Mallu now heads into the weekend with full momentum and looks all set to smash more box office records across Telugu states.
