Fans of Pawan Kalyan have another reason to celebrate as the makers of They Call Him OG dropped a brand-new track, ‘Washi Yo Washi’, sung by the Power Star himself. This unique Japanese number already dominates social media and sparks endless discussion among fans. Director Sujeeth leads the film while DVV Danayya and Kalyan Dasari produce it under DVV Entertainment. The team will release the film worldwide on September 25, 2025, with premiere shows starting on September 24 in Telangana and early morning on September 25 in Andhra Pradesh.

Pawan Kalyan Sings Powerful Haiku in Japanese

The latest track goes beyond a song, it delivers a haiku-style poem where Pawan Kalyan’s character, Ojas, directly challenges his nemesis Omi (played by Emraan Hashmi). The lyrics come entirely in Japanese and vividly describe the steps to hunt a wild eagle — a metaphor for how Ojas plans to destroy his rival.

The intense lines roar, “Washi Yo Washi (Eagle oh eagle)… You must first cut its wings, then pluck its eyes, and finally take its wild heart.” These words establish the brutal tone of the showdown between hero and villain.

Music director Thaman S delivers a thunderous soundscape by mixing Japanese and Nakoda drums, while legendary percussionist Sivamani boosts the track’s intensity. A behind-the-scenes video shows Pawan Kalyan passionately recording the song, proving his deep involvement in the project. Fans also celebrated when they saw the lyric sheet that Pawan wrote in Telugu to nail the Japanese pronunciation.

DVV Entertainment ignited massive anticipation when they released the first glimpse of the film on Pawan Kalyan’s birthday. The teaser shows Emraan Hashmi’s character reading a threatening letter to OG before brutally smashing his enemies with a baseball bat.
