Pawan Kalyan Explains Why He Chose Back-to-Back Remakes Ahead of ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’ Release

By TeluguFunda / July 22, 2025

Telugu actor and politician Pawan Kalyan is back in the spotlight with his upcoming film Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which hits theatres on July 24. He not only returns to the big screen but also takes full charge of promotions after staying away from such events for several years.

Why Pawan Kalyan Did Consecutive Remakes

At the grand pre-release event of Hari Hara Veera Mallu, Pawan Kalyan directly addressed the criticism he faced for doing a series of remakes. He explained why he made that choice.

“I know many of you feel disappointed that I did remakes,” he said. “But I had no choice. I couldn’t get big directors to work with me. At the same time, I needed to handle my political responsibilities with Janasena, support my family, and survive in this tough film industry. Remakes helped me continue without stopping.”

Over the past few years, Pawan acted in remake films like Gopala Gopala, Kaatamarayudu, Vakeel Saab, Bheemla Nayak, and BRO. He also planned to remake Ustaad Bhagat Singh, but the team later changed the story and gave it a fresh take.

Nidhhi Agerwal Praised for Her Efforts

During the event, Pawan Kalyan praised his co-star Nidhhi Agerwal for carrying out film promotions on her own. “She truly deserves all the applause,” he said emotionally. “I feel ashamed that I didn’t promote the film earlier. She managed everything by herself.”

An Emotional Return to Film Promotions

Fans celebrated Pawan Kalyan’s return to a public film event after years. The event buzzed with energy as ministers from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka joined the celebrations. For Mega fans, it was a special moment to see their star interact openly.

Pawan also spoke warmly about his longtime friend Trivikram Srinivas, calling him his “soulmate” for supporting him through tough times. He thanked director Krish Jagarlamudi and producer AM Rathnam for trusting him and working hard on the film.

All Eyes on ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’ Release

Hari Hara Veera Mallu brings high expectations as a grand period action drama. Composer MM Keeravani delivered a powerful background score, which adds to the film’s appeal. Director AM Jyoti Krishna guided the project with a strong vision. The governments of both Telugu states granted permission for special shows and approved increased ticket prices, which raised anticipation even more.

In a new and refreshing move, Pawan Kalyan has decided to promote the film fully for the next two days. He will meet the media and participate in various events. This marks his most active involvement in movie promotions in recent years, showing that he is now committed to both cinema and politics with equal dedication.
