Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming gangster drama They Call Him OG gets a major boost ahead of its theatrical release. The Andhra Pradesh government approves a special ticket price hike and benefit shows for the film, giving fans a reason to celebrate. Director Sujeeth readies this much-awaited action drama for a worldwide release on September 25, 2025, and this decision sets the stage for a record-breaking opening.
AP Govt Approves Rs 1000 Benefit Show Tickets
The government issues a fresh GO that allows benefit shows from 1 AM on the day of release. Fans can watch the early morning show by buying tickets priced at a flat Rs 1000 (including GST). This stands among the highest benefit show prices approved for any film in recent times and shows the massive buzz surrounding Pawan Kalyan’s comeback film.
Revised Ticket Rates for 10 Days
The government also approves a hike in regular ticket prices for the first ten days, from September 25 to October 4.
Single screens will sell tickets at Rs 272.5 (an increase of Rs 125).
Multiplexes will charge Rs 327 (an increase of Rs 150).
Theatres can screen only five shows per day, including the benefit shows. This rule applies throughout the 10-day period. The restriction may slightly limit overall collections, but it will likely increase ticket demand.
Massive Expectations for OG
This decision sets OG up for a historic opening as the release aligns with the Dussehra festive season. The film’s team secures these permissions well in advance to avoid last-minute delays. The huge buzz and hiked rates hint that the film will post record-breaking numbers at the Andhra Pradesh box office.
