As the trend of paid premieres continues to dominate Tollywood, Akhil Akkineni’s upcoming action drama Lenin has chosen a different path. Instead of holding special early shows, the makers have opted for a regular theatrical release, making the film one of the few big releases to skip the premiere culture.
Producer Naga Vamsi officially confirmed that Lenin will not have paid premieres anywhere in India. The film’s first shows will begin at 5:00 A.M. on July 10, allowing audiences across the country to experience the movie together on its opening day.
Interestingly, the overseas release has also been carefully planned to ensure a nearly simultaneous worldwide launch. International premieres will begin at 4:30 A.M. IST, minimizing spoilers and giving fans across the globe a unified release experience.
Directed by Murali Kishor Abburu, Lenin stars Akhil Akkineni in the lead role, with Bhagyasri Borse playing the female lead. The film is backed by King Nagarjuna in association with Naga Vamsi. The supporting cast includes Shivaji, Brahmaji, and Eeswari Rao, while S. Thaman has composed the music.
With just hours left for release, all eyes are on whether Lenin can deliver a strong opening despite skipping the increasingly popular paid premiere strategy.
