As many as 234 new cities and towns across India are set to get their own Private FM Radio channels. Of these, 22 are in Andhra Pradesh and 10 are in Telangana. The Centre attempts to enhance “local content, preserve our dialects, and create jobs” through the initiative. E-auctions have been invited for 730 channels.

Adoni, Anantapuram, Bheemavaram, Chilakaluripet, Chirala, Chittoor, Cuddapah, Dharmavaram, Eluru, Guntakal, Hindupur, Kakinada, Kurnool, Machilipatnam, Madanapalle, Nandyal, Narasaraopet, Ongole, Proddutur, Srikakulam, Tadipatri, and Vizianagaram.
List of Telangana towns:
Adilabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Kothagudem, Mahabubnagar, Mancherial, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Ramagundam, Suryapet.
