Naga Chaitanya-Sai Pallavi’s pan-Indian film, ‘Thandel’, is set to feature a grand Shivaratri celebration in the form of a song. Inspired by the real-life events of D. Matchilesam village in Srikakulam district, Andhra Pradesh, the film is currently in the making.
Director Chandoo Mondeti has incorporated an ancient temple into its narrative, the makers said in a statement today. Producer Bunny Vas of Geetha Arts said that a spectacular Shivaratri song that promises to leave audiences in awe will be a highlight of ‘Thandel’. The song, choreographed by Sekhar Master, showcases the lead pair dancing alongside thousands of dancers against the backdrop of the majestic Sri Mukhalingam temple.
With music composed by Devi Sri Prasad, the song is set to become a major feature of ‘Thandel’. “The grandeur of the production has already been captured in recently released posters. And now, this song hints at the scale and opulence of the multi-lingual release. The film’s art department, led by Srinagendra Tangala, has meticulously recreated the ancient temple’s grandeur on screen,” the makers added.
The film’s release date will be made official after the makers of Ram Charan’s ‘Game Changer’ confirm theirs. It is most likely ‘Thandel’ is a December 2024 release.
