Mouni Roy Joins Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara for a Special Dance Number, Reports Spark Buzz

Bollywood actress Mouni Roy, who rose to fame with Naagin, Brahmastra, and KGF: Chapter 1, will reportedly appear in a special dance number in Vishwambhara, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming Telugu fantasy drama. Although the filmmakers haven’t officially confirmed the news, several reports strongly indicate that they have approached Mouni for this glamorous appearance. The team plans to shoot the item song in July 2025.

Big Bollywood Glam for Vishwambhara

The makers have spent over three years working on Vishwambhara. To boost its star appeal, they decided to bring in Mouni Roy for a high-energy dance sequence. This move marks Mouni’s first collaboration with Chiranjeevi, making it a major milestone in her South Indian film journey. MM Keeravani, the National Award-winning composer behind Baahubali, RRR, and Zakhm, composed the music for this film. His signature grand style will likely elevate Mouni’s special number.

Vishwambhara Faces Multiple Delays

Director Mallidi Vassishta started the shoot long ago, but the team has faced several challenges. After they released the teaser, the audience heavily criticized its VFX quality. Chiranjeevi, unhappy with the response, instructed the team to completely redo the VFX, which further delayed the project.

The makers also struggled to finalize a deal with OTT platforms. Although the film features a star-studded cast and carries a huge budget, platforms like Amazon Prime and Netflix rejected the high price quoted by the production team. This delay in sealing a streaming deal continues to hold back the official release date. According to inside sources, the team now plans to release the movie in summer 2026, after Chiranjeevi’s film with Anil Ravipudi hits screens on January 12, 2026, for Sankranthi.

Star Cast and Expectations

Besides Chiranjeevi and Mouni Roy, the movie features Trisha Krishnan as the female lead. The cast also includes Ashika Ranganath, Janhvi Kapoor, Isha Chawla, Surbhi, and Kunal Kapoor. After delivering the successful film Bimbisara with Kalyan Ram, Vassishta now aims to score another big hit with Vishwambhara.

Mouni Roy’s Busy Schedule

Recently, Mouni Roy appeared in the horror-comedy film The Bhootnii, where she acted alongside Sanjay Dutt, Sunny Singh, and Palak Tiwari. Next, she will feature in Salaakaar, a film reportedly inspired by the life of Ajit Doval, India’s National Security Advisor. She also has a romantic comedy lined up titled Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai.
