Veteran actor Mohan Babu and his son Manchu Manoj appeared before the Ranga Reddy District Collector in Telangana amid a heated family property dispute. The hearing took place at the district collector’s office in Kongarakalan, Ibrahimpatnam, where both presented their arguments.
Mohan Babu had earlier filed a complaint under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act. He alleged that Manoj unlawfully entered his residence in Jalpalli village, Balapur mandal, and demanded a share in the family properties. In response, revenue authorities summoned Manoj for questioning.
Mohan Babu’s Stand: “Manoj Must Return My Assets”
During the hearing, Mohan Babu firmly stated that no one has rights over his self-earned properties. He accused Manoj of illegally taking over his assets and insisted that the matter should be resolved legally.
“Manoj must return my assets. He has no claim over my hard-earned property,” Mohan Babu told the officials.
Manchu Manoj’s Response: “This Is About Mismanagement”
Manchu Manoj denied the allegations and clarified that the issue is not about property ownership. He stated that his concerns were about the mismanagement of family-run educational institutions and trusts.
He also accused his father and brother, Manchu Vishnu, of creating unnecessary drama to sideline him. Manoj questioned how they could produce big-budget films while claiming financial difficulties.
Tense Hearing and Heated Arguments
Reports suggest that the father-son duo had a heated argument before the magistrate. The district collector and magistrate questioned both parties for nearly two hours. Officials confirmed that notices were issued to Manoj based on Mohan Babu’s complaint.
Before leaving the office, Mohan Babu openly expressed his concerns, while Manoj refused to speak to the media and appeared visibly upset.
The next hearing is scheduled for next week, where both will appear again for further proceedings.
