Mirai Box Office: Teja Sajja’s Fantasy Epic Smashes Rs 100 Crore in 5 Days

Teja Sajja’s latest fantasy action drama Mirai has taken the box office by storm, crossing the massive milestone of Rs 100.40 crore worldwide in just five days. The makers of the film, People Media Factory, shared the achievement on social media and called it a “#BrahmandBlockbuster.” The film released on September 12 and continues to dominate theatres, drawing huge support from audiences and families.

Mirai’s Box Office Journey

Industry tracker Sacnilk reports that Mirai earned Rs 57.71 crore nett in India and crossed $2 million in the USA, marking Teja Sajja’s second film after Hanu-Man to hit this milestone. The global total now stands at Rs 100.40 crore, a number that has thrilled the Telugu film industry. Lead star Teja Sajja thanked fans on social media, writing, “Arrived here again. This is possible only because of all of you. Grateful.” His co-star and on-screen antagonist, Manchu Manoj, also celebrated the success and thanked audiences for supporting “good cinema.”

Star-Studded Cast and Story

Director Karthik Gattamneni brings together a stellar cast that includes Ritika Nayak, Manoj Manchu, Jagapathi Babu, Shriya Saran, and Jayaram. The story follows a warrior who must protect nine sacred scriptures that hold the power to transform mortals into deities. Viewers have praised the film for its intense action sequences, stunning visuals, and emotional storytelling, all of which helped boost strong word-of-mouth.

OTT and TV Release Plans

Fans who missed Mirai in theatres can soon watch it at home. Reports confirm that JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar acquired the film’s digital rights for a huge amount, and Star Maa purchased the satellite rights. The makers plan to release Mirai online after an eight-week theatrical run, which means fans can stream it starting November 2025.

Competing Films at the Box Office

Mirai continues to outshine its competitors. Hollywood horror flick The Conjuring: Last Rites earned Rs 77.97 crore nett in India since its release, and Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 4 brought in Rs 51.30 crore nett. Despite these releases, Mirai remains the top crowd-puller of the season.
