Mere Raho: Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi’s Film Gets New Title, December 2025 Release Locked

By TeluguFunda / September 13, 2025

Bollywood fans finally have clarity on Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi’s much-anticipated film. The makers earlier announced the film as Ek Din and set its release for November 7, 2025. Now they have revealed a brand-new title, Mere Raho, and a fresh release date. They confirmed that the romantic drama will hit theatres on December 12, 2025, giving the film a prime spot in the holiday season.

Aamir Khan & Mansoor Khan Reunite After 17 Years

Director Sunil Pandey helms Mere Raho, while Aamir Khan and Mansoor Khan jointly produce it. The project reunites the two after their much-loved 2008 film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. The collaboration excites fans as it not only brings Aamir and Mansoor together again but also introduces Sai Pallavi to Bollywood, marking her official Hindi film debut. Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the news on social media and ended months of speculation with his post confirming the title and release date.

Avoids Clash with Agastya Nanda’s Ikkis

The November 7 release plan would have put Mere Raho in direct competition with Agastya Nanda’s debut film Ikkis, which filmmaker Sriram Raghavan backs and audiences eagerly await as Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson’s big launch. The makers chose December to give Mere Raho a clear release window. The film will still face a packed December lineup with Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar and Vishal Bhardwaj’s Shahid Kapoor–Triptii Dimri film arriving around the same time.

Story Set in Japan’s Stunning Winter Backdrop

The makers set Mere Raho against the breathtaking winter scenery of Japan. The cast and crew filmed major portions during the Sapporo Snow Festival in early 2024. Although heavy snowfall disrupted the schedule at first, the team quickly resumed shooting and completed the film without further delays. The movie now moves through post-production and prepares for a smooth release.

Crucial Film for Junaid Khan’s Career

Mere Raho marks Junaid Khan’s second theatrical release after Loveyapa. His debut film failed to impress at the box office, but Junaid won praise for his acting in the OTT release Maharaj. This new film gives Junaid another chance to prove himself on the big screen. His pairing with Sai Pallavi, one of Indian cinema’s most acclaimed actresses, creates high expectations for a strong comeback.
