The makers of Jr NTR’s ‘Devara’ and Superstar Rajinikanth have over-stated the box office collections of their movies by a long margin. Here are the deets:
NTR Arts and Yuvasudha Arts claimed that ‘Devara’ successfully grossed Rs 500 Cr by the end of the Dasara day. The actual collections stood at around Rs 430 Cr. Even by the end of its lifetime, the film won’t gross beyond Rs 450 Cr.

Lyca Productions said that ‘Vettaiyan’, in the first four days of its release, grossed Rs 240 Cr. The actual figure is something like Rs 60 Cr less.
The less said about the makers of ‘Viswam’, the better. The film is almost a disaster but the producers of the Gopichand-Sreenu Vaitla movie claimed that the Dasara release had achieved break-even by the end of day two.
