Superstar Mahesh Babu’s wishes to Power Star Pawan Kalyan on registering a thumping victory have surprised many. Movie buffs, especially, are taken aback. Many fans of Mahesh and even Pawan had concluded that the ‘Guntur Kaaram’ actor won’t get into the congratulations business, especially after a highly polarized election campaign. But the wishes came in a day after the election result.
There is nothing to be surprised about, actually. Mahesh and Pawan are film industry colleagues, first and foremost. It would have been bad optics had the ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’ star not shown the courtesy to congratulate the Jana Sena Party chief.
Mahesh is absolutely non-controversial. He stays away from politics and one can be certain that his affiliation is neutral. He has nothing to lose by wishing the TDP-JSP-BJP combine.
