The youthful Telugu entertainer Little Hearts created history by crossing the massive $1 million mark at the North American box office. This milestone fulfilled a dream for debut actor Mouli Tanuj Prashanth and director Sai Marthand, as very few first-time actors achieve this figure overseas. The film, which also stars Shivani Nagaram as the female lead, continues to attract huge crowds worldwide and has turned into a surprise blockbuster.

For any actor, earning a million-dollar gross in the USA sets a benchmark of success, and for a debutant, it feels almost impossible. Mouli Tanuj Prashanth made it a reality with his very first film. He now holds the record as the only debut hero from South India to score such a number at the North American box office. The film’s distributors Epic Clap announced the achievement on social media and celebrated the rare record with fans.

Worldwide Box Office Rage

Little Hearts already crossed Rs 35 crore gross worldwide, making it one of the most profitable Telugu films in recent times in terms of return on investment. Producer Aditya Hasan backed the film under the ETV Win banner. The team initially planned a direct-to-digital release, but they chose a theatrical run instead and struck gold. The film continues to mint money even in its third week.

No OTT Release Anytime Soon

Amid rumors about its OTT premiere, the makers addressed the speculation with a quirky statement on social media. They confirmed that Little Hearts will stay in theatres and that they will not release it online “anytime soon.” Fans cheered the decision and continue to watch the film in large numbers on the big screen.

Story and Performances

The film delivers a youthful rom-com packed with humor, drama, and romance. The story follows Akhil (Mouli), a student who struggles with academics. After failing an entrance exam, he joins a long-term coaching center and meets Khatyayani (Shivani). Akhil tries to impress her, leading to a fun-filled and emotional journey that audiences instantly connected with.

Actors Rajeev Kanakala, Jay Krishna, Anita Chowdary, S.S. Kanchi, and Sathya Krishnan bring strength to the supporting cast. Composer Sinjith Yerramilli adds catchy music, and distributors Bunny Vas and Vamsi Nandipati ensured the film reached a wide audience, turning it into a theatrical success story.
