Krishna Vamsi’s ‘Khadgam’ up for re-release

Krishna Vamsi's 'Khadgam' up for re-release

‘Khadgam’ is going to be re-released in theatres on October 18th. “The patriotic spirit returns to the big screens,” Karthikeya Creations said in a statement.

The film, directed by Krishna Vamsi, had Srikanth as an agonized, furious cop and Prakash Raj as the brother of a terrorist. Ravi Teja essayed one of the most memorable roles of his career in this 2002 hit.

‘Khadgam’ was instrumental in revving up Devi Sri Prasad’s career. The songs from the movie were hits of the level Chiranjeevi’s songs were known for. Sonali Bendre, Kim Sharma, Prudhvi Raj and others were part of the cast.

“‘Ninne Pelladatha’ came out of a concern for the fading away of large families and a worry about the emergence of nuclear families. ‘Khadgam’ and ‘Mahatma’ were the result of particular mental framework,” Krishna Vamsi said in an interview before the release of ‘Ranga Marthanda’ in 2022.
