Kannappa Teaser 2 Out: Vishnu Manchu’s Epic Drama Packs Star Power and Action

The highly anticipated historical drama Kannappa has just unveiled its second teaser, creating a buzz among fans. This big-budget film, inspired by the legend of Kannappa, features an ensemble cast, including Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, Mohanlal, and Kajal Aggarwal. The film is set to release in theaters worldwide on April 25, 2025.

A Glimpse Into the Epic Storyline

The new teaser offers a deeper look into Kannappa’s transformation from a fearless warrior to an immortal devotee. Vishnu Manchu, who plays the titular role, showcases his bravery and devotion in an intense action-packed sequence. The teaser highlights his journey as he defends his tribe from a rival attack.

Unlike the first teaser, which focused on Kannappa’s devotion to Lord Vishnu, this one presents him as an atheist. The visuals hint at his spiritual evolution, making the storyline even more intriguing.

Star-Studded Cast and Special Cameos

One of the biggest talking points of Kannappa is its powerful lineup of stars. Akshay Kumar appears as Lord Shiva, marking his second time playing the deity after Oh My God 2. Kajal Aggarwal portrays Goddess Parvati, while Mohanlal plays Kirrata.

The teaser’s highlight is Prabhas’ special appearance. He plays the role of Rudra, a sage, in a brief but impactful scene. His intense presence has left fans eagerly waiting for more.

Production and Filming Locations

Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, who previously helmed the TV epic Mahabharat, Kannappa is produced by veteran actor Mohan Babu under 24 Frames Factory. The film’s production took place across New Zealand’s forests and Ramoji Film City, ensuring a grand visual experience.

Made on an estimated budget of Rs 150 crore, the film promises stunning cinematography, high-end VFX, and powerful storytelling.

Prabhas and Mohanlal’s Gesture of Respect

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Vishnu Manchu revealed that Prabhas and Mohanlal refused to take any payment for their roles. They joined the project out of love and respect for Mohan Babu, which adds an emotional touch to the film’s making.
