The first song from ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has been released. Music director Santhosh Narayanan roped in the popular singer Diljit Dosanjh to do justice to the Punjabi flavour.
The song, written by Ramajogayya Sastry in Telugu, has been praised by Netizens. “The song is great to listen to and vibe with its futuristic, ultra-stylish sci-fi tone and infectious energy. The Telugu lyrics are outstanding! An awesome instant chartbuster,” wrote Swetha, a music lover.
Director Nag Ashwin’s choice to weave the Telugu and Punjabi musical traditions has been praised as well. “National Integration – Tollywood style. Super catchy. Telugu cinema and Punjabi culture are a natural sync. Hero montage ability of Telugu cinema and the earthy beauty of Punjab. We don’t do dull things here,” wrote Raghava Krishna.
The film, starring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and others, will arrive at the cinemas on June 27th.
