Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan remains one of the most talked-about films, not just for being his final movie before entering full-time politics, but also because of its repeatedly delayed release.

Initially scheduled to hit theatres during Sankranti 2026, the film has faced multiple postponements, and the makers are yet to announce a new official release date. The prolonged silence has fueled fresh speculation across social media.

According to the latest rumours, Jana Nayagan has reportedly received an ‘A’ certificate from the CBFC, with some reports claiming the makers are targeting a mid-July 2026 theatrical release. Meanwhile, another section of social media suggests that August 7, 2026, is being considered as the most likely release date, as several Friday release slots are already occupied.

However, it is important to note that neither of these claims has been officially confirmed by the filmmakers. Similar rumours about a June release had circulated earlier but ultimately proved to be inaccurate.

With speculation continuing to dominate online discussions, fans are eagerly awaiting an official announcement from KVN Productions regarding the film’s release date. Until then, the reported July and August release plans should be treated purely as rumours.

Directed by H. Vinoth, Jana Nayagan features an ensemble cast including Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain, and Priyamani, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
