The Malayalam-language period action drama ‘Ajayante Randam Moshanam’ will be released in Telugu as ‘ARM’ on September 12th. Directed by Jithin Lal and written by Sujith Nambiar, the multi-lingual release has Tovino Thomas in three roles, one of which is a thief.
The Mollywood hero was in Hyderabad to promote his 50th movie, which is also the most ambitious one in his career. “You would be surprised to know that ‘ARM’ is a love story at its core. There are three love tracks. Krithi Shetty, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Surabhi Lakshmi play the female leads,” he reveals.
The film’s Trailer speaks of ambition. “We have shot the pan-Indian film in 3D as well. The nature of the action sequences required the technology,” Tovino assures, adding that Dhibu Ninan Thomas’s score is going to be a major takeaway.
Tovino is a cautious actor who never takes any character lightly. “The three roles in ‘ARM’ posed their own set of challenges for me. A lot of thinking went behind the portrayals. The detailing in the script also helped me a great deal,” he adds.
Tovino is wildly popular among the non-Malayali audience for his superhero outing, ‘Minnal Murali’ (2021). Will the acclaimed movie have a sequel? “Its director, Basil Joseph, himself has been busy as an actor. He has a directorial lined up next. If things fall in place after that, probably, we will do a sequel,” Tovino informs.
