If you are running a meme page or a YouTube channel whose content “insults” Telugu movie stars, be ready to get banned. On July 10th, in a video statement, actor Manchu Vishnu said that steps have been taken to weed out such channels/pages.
Vishnu, who is the President of the Movie Artists Association, stated that all social media influencers and YouTubers who are guilty of attacking actors and their families will stand to be questioned. “We are working in close collaboration with the Cyberabad cybercrime department. I urge you all to delete objectionable posts/videos within 48 hours. If not, you will be made accountable. This is my stern warning,” Vishnu said.
Vishnu added that legendary comedian Brahmanandam is unhappy with memes that are grotesque or distasteful. “He doesn’t want his image to be used on such meme pages,” Vishnu added.
