A mega looter in ‘Indian 2’ is a Gujarati businessman who deals in granite mining. He is a freebooter who has amassed thousands of crores by bribing officials and politicians.
Mining scams are more of a southern Indian thing. Why did ‘Indian 2’ show a Gujarati mining baron instead of, say, a Kannadiga or a Telugu or a Tamilian? The reason is said to be political. If you are aware of the person who financed the film heavily and who is also credited as one of the producers, you wouldn’t be surprised.
