King Nagarjuna Akkineni is a wholesome entertainer ‘Na Samiranga’. Ashika Ranganath is playing the heroine. The film, which is being introduced as a director by famous choreographer Vijay Binny, is creating a huge buzz with its impressive promotional content. Srinivasa Chitturi is producing this movie with a high budget on Srinivasa Silver Screen. Grand release worldwide on 14th January as my Samiranga Sankranti gift. In this context, heroine Aashika Ranganath shared the features of the film in a press conference.
How did you feel when director Vijay Binny told you about this project?
I was very surprised. I am lucky that a newcomer like me got a chance to act with a big star like Nagarjuna. I will be seen in the role of Vara. My character has a very good preference. My role appears in two variations. I am very confident in the character. There is a belief that the character of Vara will entertain everyone.
What attracted you to your role?
Vara is a very independent girl. The roles of the heroines in the village backdrop are a bit sensitive. But the character of Varu is a rebel. After watching this movie, this is the character that makes a girl feel like this. It was very exciting to do such a role. Naa Samiranga is a pure commercial entertainer with Telugu flair. It will definitely entertain everyone.
How was working with Nagarjuna?
Working with Nagarjuna was a wonderful experience. Nagarjuna is a charming and amazing performer. I am truly lucky to work with such a big star. Nagarjuna is a very sweet person. I feel very lucky to get an amazing role like Vara in this film with such a big star.
How is the romantic chemistry between Nagarjuna’s character and your character in this?
Nagarjuna is a romantic hero. In this film also there are good romantic scenes between our characters according to the story. Also, there are special romantic stories for the characters of Allari Naresh and Raj Tarun. All the characters are beautifully done. It has very good combination scenes with Naresh and Raj Tarun. All of them provide good entertainment to the audience.
How was it working with Oscar winner MM Keeravani?
I have seen many films like Magadheera, Baahubali, RRR composed by Keeravani. I heard his songs. It is a great pleasure to be a part of a big music director like him. All the songs in my Samiranga are wonderful. The already-released songs are getting very good response from all quarters.
About director Vijay Binny?
Vijay Binny doesn’t seem like a new director. He made the movie like an experienced director. He takes decisions very quickly. Also there is a lot of clarity on everything.
About the producers?
Srinivasa Silver Screen Wonderful Producers. Very supportive. The movie was made in a very grand manner. Cinema is a passion for them. They are confident that they will get big success with this film
How did Telugu culture feel? How did you prepare in terms of language?
Telugu and Kannada cultures are similar. Telugu language is new to me. The writers and direction department helped a lot. I practiced the voice notes well. I really enjoyed this process.
A lot of people call you Junior Anushka.. how do you feel?
I like Anushka very much. Excellent pictures and characters. It’s a pleasure to be compared to her (laughs).
What kind of roles do you like to play?
I like to do films that have scope for performance along with glamour. He also has a dream to make a periodical film. I really want to be a part of a Rajamouli film one day (laughs).
About new movies?
I am doing a film in Tamil with the hero Siddharth. Also a couple of projects are going on in Kannada.
