By TeluguFunda / July 23, 2025

Pawan Kalyan, actor and Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, recently gave a major update about his upcoming film Hari Hara Veera Mallu Part 2. While speaking to the media in Mangalagiri, he shared that the team has already completed 20–30% of Part 2. However, he said the future of the sequel depends on how well Part 1 – Sword vs Spirit performs at the box office. The team will release the first part on July 24.

Part 2 Progress Depends on Part 1 and Pawan Kalyan’s Political Duties

Pawan clearly stated that he puts his political duties first. He said the team will move forward with Part 2 only if Part 1 does well and he finds time for the shoot. “By God’s grace, everything will go well,” he added. He explained that the COVID-19 pandemic and political instability in Andhra Pradesh disrupted his shooting schedule. These issues also created problems for the film’s producers. Pawan took moral responsibility for the delay.

Pawan Kalyan Refuses Payment, Backs Producer A.M. Rathnam

To support the film’s success, Pawan confirmed that he is not accepting any payment for the project. He is also personally supervising the release to support producer A.M. Rathnam. He praised Rathnam for his hard work and said the producer rose from humble beginnings.

Pawan Kalyan Explains the Storyline

Pawan cleared up rumors about the film’s plot. He said Hari Hara Veera Mallu tells a fictional story about a hero who tries to bring back the Kohinoor diamond, which left India long ago. “It is not based on the story of Sarvayi Papanna,” he clarified. He added that the film includes a key sequence on the Jiziya tax, but the story does not carry a political message. Instead, it focuses on values like righteousness.

Film Struggles Taught Him Political Strength

Pawan spoke about his ups and downs in the film industry. He recalled how his film Jhonny flopped after a series of successful movies. When financiers came to his house, he returned his remuneration and even borrowed Rs. 15 lakhs to repay them. He said that this tough phase gave him emotional strength, which later helped him face defeat in elections.

He also spoke about the financial losses he faced during Bheemla Nayak due to reduced ticket prices. Despite these setbacks, he offered to arrange a special screening of his new movie for all his MLAs.

Pawan Stresses Film Infrastructure Over Location

Pawan underlined the need to build strong film infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh. He said that instead of worrying about the location of the film industry, the state should focus on building facilities like film schools and studios. “The place doesn’t matter. What we need is the right setup,” he said.
