After months of anticipation, director Prasanth Varma has officially launched his ambitious mythological epic Jai Hanuman, marking the next chapter in his cinematic universe that began with the blockbuster Hanu-Man. The film stars Rishab Shetty in the divine role of Lord Hanuman.
The grand muhurat ceremony was held at the revered Anjanadri Betta in Hampi, located in the historic region of Vijayanagara a site widely believed to be the birthplace of Lord Hanuman. The team conducted a traditional pooja, adding spiritual significance to the occasion. Rishab Shetty attended the ceremony with his wife, alongside actor Teja Sajja and director Prasanth Varma, all dressed in traditional attire.
The inaugural shot was marked with several prominent industry names participating in the ritual. Bhushan Kumar sounded the clapboard, while Anil Thadani rolled the camera. In a symbolic moment, Bhushan Kumar, Anil Thadani, Naveen Yerneni, and Y Ravi Shankar handed over the script to the director, formally commencing the project.
The film is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers in collaboration with T-Series and is mounted on a massive budget. The makers promise a mythological spectacle that blends high-end technical craftsmanship with emotional depth.
Set in Kaliyug, Jai Hanuman is envisioned as a high-octane action epic. The narrative revolves around the idea that Hanuman’s silence is not surrender, but a sign of restrained power a force destined to rise when the time calls.
Speculation is also rife about Rana Daggubati playing a pivotal role, though an official confirmation is awaited.
The technical crew boasts celebrated names including Oscar-winning composer M. M. Keeravani handling the music, cinematography by S. Thirunavukkarasu, and production design by Srinagendra Thangala.
With pre-production already underway, regular shooting is expected to commence soon, raising excitement for what promises to be a visually grand and spiritually powerful cinematic experience.
