Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has criticized the Telugu film industry for showing a lack of humanity. He expressed disappointment that many celebrities visited actor Allu Arjun after his release from jail but ignored Sri Tej, who is undergoing treatment in the hospital. Sri Tej was injured during a stampede at the Sandhya Theatre on the release day of Pushpa 2.

Revanth directly questioned why no one from the industry visited Sri Tej or his family. He also pointed out the insensitivity of ignoring the little boy hospitalized from the same incident. His remarks caused widespread backlash against Tollywood celebrities, many of whom have yet to respond.

Jagapathi Babu’s Quiet Visit to the Hospital

Amid this controversy, actor Jagapathi Babu, popularly known as Jaggu Bhai, broke his silence through a video shared on his social media account. In the video, he revealed that he had visited Sri Tej in the hospital as soon as he returned to Hyderabad from a shoot. Jagapathi said he consoled Sri Tej’s father and sister and assured them of his support.

Jagapathi clarified that he did not publicize his visit because he acted out of personal compassion, not for attention. His revelation has earned praise, with many applauding him for his quiet but meaningful gesture.

Other Tollywood Celebrities’ Role

Earlier, Allu Aravind and director Sukumar, part of the Pushpa 2 team, also visited the hospital. However, their visits have not eased the criticism, as Revanth specifically questioned the lack of a unified industry response. The public and government expect more celebrities to show support for Sri Tej’s family in the coming days.

Widespread Public Criticism

The three-day condolence meeting at Allu Arjun’s residence after his release has been heavily criticized. Many feel it was unnecessary, especially when the victims’ families were struggling. Revanth Reddy’s statements have amplified these sentiments, calling for accountability and humanity from Tollywood.

Jagapathi Babu’s gesture could inspire others in the industry to take similar actions and address the criticism from both the public and the government.
