Fahadh Faasil Confirms Aavesham 2, Shares Tentative Timeline

Fahadh Faasil, one of Mollywood’s most versatile and celebrated actors, has officially confirmed the sequel to his blockbuster film Aavesham. The actor, who is currently juggling multiple projects, shared the update during a recent public event, much to the delight of fans.

Faasil is presently shooting for his first Telugu film as a lead actor, Don’t Trouble the Trouble. Amid his busy schedule, the Pushpa antagonist revealed that Aavesham 2 is very much on the cards.

Released in 2024, Aavesham emerged as a massive fan favourite. Fahadh’s portrayal of the eccentric gangster Ranga earned widespread acclaim, and the film’s unique tone and energy struck a chord with audiences. Notably, Fahadh also produced the film, adding to its significance in his career.

Confirming the sequel, Fahadh stated that Aavesham 2 is expected to go on floors around 2027 or 2028. He explained that director Jithu Madhavan is currently busy with his first Tamil project, which stars Suriya in the lead. Once that film is completed and Fahadh wraps up his existing commitments, the successful actor-director duo is set to reunite for the sequel.

With the announcement now official, expectations are already running high for the return of Ranga on the big screen.
