Producer Naga Vamsi’s latest comments at the Epic movie glimpse launch event are now going viral across social media.
When it comes to Tollywood’s box office, Sankranthi is the real festival big heroes lining up their releases, fan frenzy everywhere, and massive box-office clashes. But Sankranthi 2026 is gearing up to be even crazier, with Megastar Chiranjeevi, Prabhas, and Ravi Teja all entering the ring.
Amid all this, one young producer has cleverly pulled out the “sympathy card,” and that’s none other than Sithara Entertainments’ head, Naga Vamsi.
During the Epic glimpse event, when the media questioned him about the Sankranthi competition, he replied with a laugh:
“Mine is the smallest film among all. Compared to the films of Chiranjeevi garu, Prabhas garu, and Ravi Teja garu, ours is tiny. I’m just hoping people feel some sympathy for me and watch my movie.”
Sithara Entertainments is usually known for quality films. But in recent times, a few releases from the banner haven’t performed as expected. The Telugu release planning of War 2 (NTR–Hrithik) backfired, Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom underperformed, and the recent Mass Jathara turned out to be a disaster. The trolling he received over the challenge he made during the War 2 event also hit him hard.
Now, with massive Sankranthi releases like Chiranjeevi–Anil Ravipudi’s Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu, Prabhas–Maruthi’s Raja Saab, and Ravi Teja–Kishore Tirumala’s Bharta Mahashayulaku Vignapanam dominating the season, Naga Vamsi seems to be speaking very cautiously.
This time, he is entering the Sankranthi race with Naveen Polishetty’s comedy entertainer Anaganaga Oka Raju. Though Naga Vamsi is confident in the content, he is outwardly sticking to a light-hearted “sympathy strategy.”
Given how his earlier challenges backfired, he now appears determined to quietly score a hit. He even joked at the event saying,
“Even if I try using the sympathy card, it’s not working. My rowdyism is backfiring!”
which left everyone there laughing.
With major star releases dominating Sankranthi, Naga Vamsi has begun promotions for Naveen Polishetty’s film in his own unique style.
Whether the audience shows him sympathy or trusts the film’s content will only be known once Sankranthi arrives.
