After delivering back-to-back intense action thrillers, director Sailesh Kolanu is set to surprise audiences with a refreshing romantic drama. On the occasion of Valentine’s Day, the makers unveiled the title and a special glimpse of the film, officially announcing it as Emo Emo Idhi. The film stars Roshan Meka and Preity Mukundhan in the lead roles.
The glimpse promises a breezy, youthful entertainer and opens with a light-hearted yet thought-provoking conversation between a son and his mother. Veteran actress Devadarshini plays Roshan’s mother, who curiously questions why her smart and well-settled son is still single. In response, the hero humorously reflects on how complicated modern relationships have become, even pointing out shocking incidents where husbands were allegedly murdered by their wives.
He further speaks about the challenges of today’s dating culture, referencing terms like “benching,” “situationship,” “flirtationship,” “red flag,” and “green flag,” capturing the confusion and complexity of contemporary romance. The glimpse then introduces Preity Mukundhan’s character, a charming coffee shop owner. Sparks fly instantly as the lead pair exchange glances, with the magical background score by Hesham Abdul Wahab enhancing the romantic vibe.
Produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, Emo Emo Idhi is slated for a grand theatrical release during Dussehra 2026.
