Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi, directed by Tharun Bhascker, remains one of Tollywood’s most loved buddy comedies. Marking the film’s seventh anniversary, the makers have officially confirmed that a sequel is in the works. Titled ENE Repeat, the announcement has instantly excited fans.
In a recent interaction, producer Srujan Yarabolu revealed that the film is slated for release in the second half of 2026. He shared that while ENE Repeat stays true to the buddy-comedy genre, the sequel will feature extensive VFX, taking the scale a notch higher. Recalling his experience of reading the script, Srujan said that after going through 150 pages, he was convinced it would be a hit, but by the end, he felt it was Tharun Bhascker’s best-written script so far.
According to the producer, the sequel will revolve around movie-making, yet retain the fun and free-spirited vibe of the original. He also highlighted that the natural performances and realism that audiences loved in the first part have been preserved, while the emotional depth has been significantly enhanced. Adding to the intrigue, he hinted that the film is loaded with unexpected surprises, which he chose not to reveal at this stage.
The original cast Vishwak Sen, Sai Sushanth Reddy, Abhinav Gomatam, and Venkatesh Kakumanu will reprise their roles, much to the delight of fans. ENE Repeat is being co-produced by Suresh Productions, with Vivek Sagar returning as the music composer, ensuring the sequel carries forward the soul of the original while aiming bigger and bolder.
